Skok sa Starog u MostaruDajana made her second jump at the competition held recently in Mostar as part of the review section. She made her first jump last year.

“When you jump out from the water the feeling is indescribable. It is the feeling of being alive, and that you did something huge and showed that you are capable. Especially since I am a female. It is easier for men, because they are seen as stronger, more courageous, but the fact that I am a female, I climbed to such a height and did a huge thing caused a feeling of happiness’’, said Dajana to Fena.

She said that she wants to show in this way that women in BiH have strength and courage, even if many here still believe that a women’s place is in the home.

This 23 year old is the state champion in weight lifting. She does not dive professionally, but the jump from the Old Bridge prompted her passion for extreme sports.

She explained that she participated for the dive due to the advertisement of JMBG that was printed on her back.

She added that she was at the protests for JMBG and wanted in some way to raise awareness to the public of this issue.

In addition to Dajana, there were other females, mostly from Mostar, who jumped from the Old Bridge.

Mirsad Deda Pašić, a veteran of divers from the Old Bridge, and today a member of the jury that evaluates jumpers, said that according to his statistics seven more women jumped from the Old Bridge, and some of them are not alive today.
