The General Director of the University Clinical Center of the Republika Srpska, Vlado Dajic, stated today that the UCC has only a few tons of oxygen used in the treatment of patients, and that because of that, health workers and relatives of patients are very worried.
“We are in constant contact with the leadership of Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Health on how to solve this problem. We are looking for a solution after the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH banned the company ‘TGT tehnogas’ delivery. UCC had a contract with this company and supplied us properly. , and the company ‘Meser’ is not able to deliver oxygen to us due to technical reasons and reduced quantities “, said Dajic to the journalists.
He says that it is unfortunate that the mayor of Banja Luka, Drasko Stanivukovic, and the director of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH, Aleksandar Zolak, are laughing because of the current situation and they do not care about the lives of patients.
Djajic stated that the finding of the oxygen sample from the UCC should be submitted in the evening or tomorrow morning.
Oxygen sampling, which is used daily in this institution, was performed yesterday at the UCC of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka. The sampling was performed on the basis of the conclusion from the recent extraordinary session of the Government of the Republika Srpska.
After the inspection, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of BiH banned the company “TGT tehnogas” from Laktasi from the production and trade of medical oxygen. According to the contract, the delivery of oxygen to the UCC was done every 48 hours. This company supplied oxygen to the UCC and other hospitals in RS.
