Darko Culum to be new Director of State Investigation and Protection Agency?

Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Minister of Security Fahrudin Radoncic has nominated Darko Culum as the new director of State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) instead of Perica Stanic, Klix.ba news portal has learned.

This information for Klix.ba was confirmed by Fahrudin Radoncic himself.

“On Monday, I rejected the proposal by former Security Minister Dragan Mektic to elect Perica Stanic as SIPA director. After consulting the parliamentary majority, I made the decision to officially nominate Darko Culum, and he is now in the process of being the new SIPA director, ” said Radoncic.

Darko Culum’s confirmation as director of SIPA could be found at the next session of the BiH Council of Ministers, and prior to that, consultations will be held at the College with Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija.

However, this will only be known the following week after the working meeting and preparations for the session scheduled for 23 January.

“We will then know the agenda, or whether Culum’s confirmation will be at one or another of the next sessions,” Radoncic added.

Radoncic and Culum have discussed this appointment and that the current RS Police Director is still very interested in a leading position at the SIPA, Klix.ba writes.
