On the day of B&H culture, which was held yesterday at the campus of the International Burch University on Ilidža, institutions and organizations that have been proven as the authentic guardians of the treasury of the cultural and historical heritage of B&H were presented. Classes in history, art, architecture and Bosnian language and literature were also held, as well as a competition in Bosnian language for foreigners.
‘’International Burch University organized the day of B&H culture for the first time, whose goal is to present the wealth of this country to as many foreign students, associates and guests’’, said the Head of the Press Office of Burch University Nadira Sarajlić to Fena.
‘’Many foreign citizens who work or attend our university offered us a different insight into B&H, and we have taken advantage of that to make available to the general public the most interesting elements of historical heritage, architecture, handicrafts and traditional cuisine, but we also offer them concise information through history classes and workshops for pottery and handcrafts. A competition in B/H/S language for foreigners was organized, with the goal to popularize it, and the best ones will be given valuable prizes’’, said Sarajlić.
At the opening of the event, the rector of the university Professor Dr. Mehmet Uzunoglu gave an address, followed by the head coordinator of the organization Professor Dr. Azamat Akbarov, and from their position as foreigners who live and work in this country they spoke of the importance of getting to know B&H culture and all its beauty.
