The Ministry of Health stated that at least 52.535 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023.

In the ministry’s statement, it is said that 40 people were killed in Israeli attacks on the enclave in the past 24 hours, while 125 others were injured, bringing the number of those injured in the Israeli attack to 118.491.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads because rescuers cannot reach them,” the statement adds.

The Israeli military continued attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18th and has since killed 2.436 people and injured 6.450 others, violating the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that came into effect in January.

Last November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel is also facing a genocide lawsuit before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the war in the enclave, AA writes.
