The number of people killed in the Gaza Strip, which has been under fierce Israeli attacks for 27 days, increased by 265, rising to 9,061. Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, shared the latest information on casualties and injuries in the region at a press conference at Shifa Hospital.

Qudra said another 265 people had lost their lives in attacks carried out by Israel in the past 24 hours.

A Palestinian official said the number of people killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7 has risen to 9,061, including 3,760 children and 2,326 women, while at least 32,000 people have been wounded.

UN: Israeli ground operation prevents delivery of humanitarian aid to around 300,000 displaced Palestinians

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that the Israeli ground operation in the north of the Gaza Strip is preventing the delivery of humanitarian aid to around 300,000 displaced Palestinians.

The Israeli military has expanded its air and ground attacks on the blockaded territory, which has been under relentless airstrikes since October 7.

“The Israeli ground operation in northern Gaza is hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid to around 300,000 displaced people,” the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said.

The Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, the only public hospital for cancer patients in the Gaza Strip, stopped working on Wednesday due to Israeli attacks and fuel shortages.

“Gaza’s main cancer hospital ran out of fuel and was forced to cut services, putting the lives of 70 cancer patients at risk,” OCHA said.

In addition to the high number of casualties and massive displacement of people, basic supplies are running out for Gaza’s 2.3 million residents due to the Israeli siege.

The armed wing of Hamas launched an all-out attack on the morning of October 7, based on “a response to Israel’s continued violation of the rights of Palestinians and their sacred values, especially Masjid al-Aqsa,” after which the Israeli military began bombarding Gaza.

Israel announced that more than 1,400 Israelis, including 315 soldiers, were killed and 5,132 people were injured in the attacks from Gaza.

According to Israeli officials, the number of soldiers killed in clashes in the Gaza Strip since October 31 has risen to 18, while the Qassam Brigades are holding 242 Israeli prisoners.
