At the end of March 2019, seven coal mines, six of which in the Concern of Public Enterprise Elektroprivreda BiH, owed 451,115,565 BAM to the Federation of BiH Tax Administration on the basis of taxes, contributions, and other fees.

The most difficult situation is with the Coal Mine “Kreka”, which owed 133,499,155 BAM, followed by RMU Zenica with 117.764.476 BAM.

Today, this debt is almost 140 million BAM, and the miners have started a strike because of non-payment of salaries and do not want to leave the pits.

RMU Breza’s debt amounted to 76,374,615 BAM and the miners were on strike on Tuesday.

The FBiH Government believes that the mine can be credited and settle its obligations. Today, miners continued to work at the mine, News Agency Patria reports.
