Delegation from Canton Sarajevo to represent BiH at Dybai EXPO 2020

The Ministry of Economy and the Government of Sarajevo Canton received a positive response from the organizers of the most prestigious world entrepreneurship fair in Dubai – EXPO 2020 for the participation of Sarajevo Canton in organizing the presentation of businessmen from this canton and BiH at this major international trade fair. 

The Minister of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, Adnan Delic, commented on the activities and initiatives that preceded this response from Dubai. 

“On September 14, 2021, the Government of Sarajevo Canton sent a letter of intent to the organizer Dubai – EXPO 2020, Mr. Omar Shehadeh, General Manager for International Participants, in which it expressed its desire and intention to be one of the organizers of business participation in this world exhibition of entrepreneurship.” , said Minister Delic. 

He added that Shehadeh addressed the CS Government with a letter on September 23, 2021, in which he expressed his satisfaction with sending the CS Government approval for organizing participation in the upcoming Dubai – EXPO 2020 fair, which was officially and officially accepted by CS members at their session today. 

The Government has instructed the Ministries of Economy and Finance, and the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton, each within its competence, to start implementing activities related to participation in this world economic exhibition. 

The Government of CS instructed the Tourist Board of CS to harmonize with the competent ministries the contractual provisions and the framework financial assessment of the funds needed to participate in the exhibition, which will last from October 1 this year to March 31, 2022, and to harmonize the text of the contract and financial assessment submit the funds to the Government of Sarajevo Canton for approval. 

Minister Delic pointed out that other levels of government, entity and state, as well as the Brcko District, will be invited to give their contribution in the organization of the best possible representation of BiH at the world’s most famous trade fair in Dubai.
