The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, held a meeting in Sarajevo today with the Ambassador of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina, María Molina Álvarez de Toledo, who stated that Spain provides consistent support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in preserving the memory of the victims and promoting the universal values of truth, justice and reconciliation.
In this context, she confirmed the arrival of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain to mark the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.
At the meeting, Minister Konaković expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain to date, assessing bilateral relations as friendly, substantial and stable.
It was concluded that the successful cooperation to date should be further deepened and expanded in numerous areas of mutual interest, including culture, sports, economy and tourism, with the aim of strengthening mutual understanding and connecting the citizens of the two countries.
During previous high-level meetings, including recent visits by the foreign ministers of the two countries, Spain’s commitment to the stability, territorial integrity and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina was confirmed, the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
