The acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office has proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo that Tarik Prusac, suspected of aggravated murder of a woman, be placed in custody for one month.
Detention was proposed due to the risk that the suspect could repeat the crime if released and the risk that the suspect’s release could cause public unrest.
According to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, Prusac is suspected of having come to the apartment of a 41-year-old woman in Dobrinja the day before yesterday in the evening. After she left the apartment, the suspect allegedly attacked her, threatened her with a gun and started hitting her.
The Prosecutor’s Office further states that he then tied her up with duct tape, after which he left the apartment with the child.
”The woman, trying to save the child, ran after them into the building’s lobby, where, according to the Prosecutor’s Office’s suspicions, Prusac fired one shot into her stomach and killed her on the spot. “After that, he fled in a car, which he left on Dariva, and then headed towards a restaurant in Baščaršija, where he was arrested,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Sarajevo also stated that the suspect was under a restraining order at the time of the crime.
