Divanhana on BBC klix.ba“Bosnian Musicians Preaching Unity” is the title of the radio report on BBC in which the member of Divanhana Neven Tutnjić got an opportunity to present this B&H band.

“Two decades after the war which torn Yugoslavia into pieces, a group of young people from Bosnia Divanhana uses traditional music from the region to connect people in the Balkans”.

Tunjić said why they decided to name the new album “Zukva”, explaining that it has strong roots, just like B&H, and that other traditions successfully adapted there.

Tutnjić also spoke about sevdalinka, new and old songs which Divanhana performs, as well as about its manner of performance characteristic of male and female performers. Tutnjić also said that they are trying to bring people together with their music.

“Our intention is not to perform sevdalinkas for people from the Balkans only, but also for Englishmen, Germans and other Europeans. Audience at our concerts consists of both people from the Balkans who came migrated to other countries as refugees during the war and people who are originally from those countries,” Tutnjić said.
