Dobrinja to get the First Sports Playground with Artificial Grass

fieldMunicipality Novi Grad Sarajevo is realizing the Project of reconstruction and rearrangement of sports field at Mustafa Kamerića Street on Dobrinja, where they are finishing the works on installing top quality artificial grass.

This will be the first sports field with artificial grass in this part of the municipality Novi Grad, which will be available for the citizens starting from next week.

Repairs on the existing fences and safety nets were made on the sports field, which will be used for football, and installation of artificial grass and goals will be completed in the upcoming period. After finishing the playground, neighborhood Dobrinja will be completed with the new sports facilities.

The public company “Lokom” will be managing the sports field, and the free terms for using the field will be available for citizens as well.

“By the Program for the arrangement of sports infrastructure, the Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo is planning to build three sports fields and six children’s playgrounds this year, and all of that in order to improve the living conditions of our citizens. A total of 700 000 BAM is planned for these purposes from the municipal budget,” said the Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo, Mr. Semir Efendic.

He also added that the construction works on the sports playground at the “Porodice Sehic Street” in the Local Community “Naselje heroja Sokolje” is almost completed, and whose realization started at the end of last year. The municipality allocated 93.500 BAM for these purposes.
