Dodik Announces Savo Minić as One of the Most Serious SNSD Candidates for President of RS

The President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, stated today in Bijeljina that Savo Minić is one of the party’s most serious candidates for President of Republika Srpska in the upcoming elections this October.

“Minić is the best option for these people at the moment. He has a lot of energy, knowledge, desire, will, and emotion to fight. He holds a doctoral degree in legal sciences, and he has a lot of hard work behind him. I have complete trust in Savo Minić,” Dodik said.

He emphasized that, according to the research results, the SNSD holds an excellent rating.

When asked whether the longest-lasting coalition in Republika Srpska would continue to exist after October, Dodik confirmed that it would. He expressed gratitude to everyone within the coalition, and said he is proud that even after leaving their official functions, they did not abandon the joint fight for Republika Srpska.

“We understand each other, we are dedicated to the same work and the same idea—Republika Srpska—and we continue to do so. Defeat in the elections is not an option, especially not against this kind of opposition,” Dodik said, as reported by the Srna news agency.

As a reminder, Dodik previously stated that the party has “at least five names” for the key positions.

It was earlier said in public circles that it is certain that Željka Cvijanović would be a candidate for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the current Prime Minister, Savo Minić, would be the closest candidate for President of Republika Srpska.
