The Dragons have become role models for young generations with their combativeness, courage, pride in their homeland and achieved results. The world’s, and ours. Today, Bosnia and Herzegovina is painted in blue and yellow colors, while fans across the country support the national team on the world’s biggest football stage.
Successes strengthen identity
Sociologists and psychologists wished the Dragons luck and said that behind every victory there is an important life lesson. They point out that an optimist sees an opportunity in every difficulty, while a pessimist finds reason for doubt in every opportunity.
“We need these kinds of successes because they strengthen our national identity. It is important that we show everything we can contribute to society and not constantly look for excuses,” said Remzija Šetić, a clinical and leading sports psychologist in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Support from institutions
Support for the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina also came from the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, who came to work wearing a national team jersey.
“Let it be seen that we cheer for the same coat of arms, jersey, for the same flag. Let’s be with the Dragons even before the referee’s whistle, and then let’s cheer together for another victory,” said Nikšić.
Role models for young generations
Millions of people are with the Dragons. Ranking and fighting on the world stage are a reminder to everyone how to achieve success. Psychologist and analyst Ibrahim Prohić believes that the success of the national team can have a positive impact on society, especially on young people.
“The way to overcome a moral crisis, or a crisis of ideals, is to follow idols that have a positive aspect. These are the players of the national team who have shown that success, apart from talent, requires a lot of work, renunciation, courage, self-confidence and faith in one’s own abilities,” Prohić pointed out.
Support for the national team comes from all sides, and the common message remains the same – to be with the Dragons who represent their homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with dignity.
