Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik called for an urgent BiH Presidency today because of the migration crisis.

Dodik said yesterday that he did not want to refuse to start a session to which a member of the BiH Presidency Zeljko Komsic, but says that he suspects an adequate outcome.

He recalled that the BiH Presidency had previously discussed this issue and asked for a comprehensive plan when it comes to migration issues, but stated that the Council of Ministers did nothing.

“The only thing we can conclude is to try to get to that plan,” Dodik said.

BiH’s Presidency Member Zeljko Komsic, who yesterday filed a request for an urgent BiH Presidency session because of the migration crisis, suggests that the state presidency orders Defense Minister Marina Pendes to order the use and deployment of military police, engineers, scouts and other units of the Armed Forces of BiH for the purpose of supporting and assisting the BiH Border Police patrols in border control of BiH with Serbia and Montenegro to prevent illegal crossings of the state border.
