The fifth consultative meeting of experts on state property was held yesterday at the United States (U.S.) Embassy in Sarajevo.
At the meeting, the working group discussed the possibilities of regulating water resources as part of a comprehensive solution to the issue of state property in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Experts discussed different modalities of water ownership and use in BiH and compared them with other countries, as well as water management and protection, Office of the High Representative (OHR) announced.
On the occasion of the meeting, the President of the Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik announced that the property issue was resolved by the Dayton Peace Agreement and that for the RS it was a finished matter.
When asked by agency Srna to comment on the meeting, Dodik pointed out that “meetings of self-proclaimed experts in the U.S.Embassy or the building where OHR used to be in terms of property was a brutal interference in internal affairs and a de facto recognition that BiH is a colony”.
“No one authorized or asked the U.S. Embassy to deal with that or any other internal issue of BiH, and the OHR is beheaded and illegal, because the position of the high representative is still vacant and has not been abolished in the meantime,” said Dodik.
He emphasized that it is unprecedented “that they are still informing us how they took our wallets and that they are negotiating how much of our money they will give us”.
“Any proposal on this issue that comes from addresses that uninvited and unauthorized deal with our internal issues in RSwill not be considered. The agreement that created today’s BiH solved the property issue in 1995, and in both entities and the Brcko district, the privatization of state capital was carried out and now someone remembered that the property issue was not resolved,” said Dodik yesterday.
He assessed that this issue clearly shows how part of the international community in BiH creates crises and then offers to solve them as saviors, accusing legally elected politicians of incompetence.
“Perhaps the issue of property for the American ambassador is just a way to kill boredom in the Sarajevo basin, but because of that issue, we had a war in the nineties. The RS did not lose more than 20,000 of its best sons who defended their houses and property, to watch Izetbegovic, Murphy or Schmidt embezzle its property 30 years after the war,” said Dodik, Klix.ba reports.
