The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that he is “trying to convince the Croats to leave the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina together with the Serbs once and for all” and pointed out that “in the treasury of the Republika Srpska there are all the laws, regulations and by-laws ready so that after an hour and a half of the parliamentary session the RS becomes independent state”.
Speaking about the crisis that occurred in the negotiations with the West due to the issue of property, Dodik expressed his belief that “things have reached a wall”.
According to him, either the withdrawal of foreigners from Bosnia and Herzegovina will begin or they will introduce their troops here.
Dodik believes that there is still a chance for a conversation and that “Sarajevo can get something out of this dialogue”.
“If we make decisions ourselves, they will get nothing. We offer a conversation without foreigners, to see what is possible. If they don’t want dialogue, they consciously choose uncertainty,” Dodik told “Politika”.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska refuses to live in “unconstitutional Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
“In order not to reveal all the details, I will say a part: Bosnia and Herzegovina will function only as long as all three nations sit in its structures. I am trying to convince the Croats to leave the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina once and for all,” said Dodik.
He asked what will happen when all the people from Republika Srpska return to entity institutions.
“Do you think we’re not working on it? We’re working, and we’re not far from that decision. Don’t try us, I recommend we talk. Don’t play with the property, we’ll pull all the people. You can try, but better not. There are in our vault all the laws, regulations and by-laws are ready so that after an hour and a half of the parliamentary session, Republika Srpska becomes an independent state. Do not push us into a corner. Do not compress the spring that will bounce and jump over you,” said Dodik.
