Dodik: If the EU imposes Sanctions on RS, development Projects in FBiH will not have our Consent

SNSD President, Milorad Dodik said at a press conference after the party’s presidency session that “stories about the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and other nonsense” had disappeared from public space, and then threatened the European Union (EU) if sanctions were imposed on Republika Srpska (RS).

“Nowadays, no one mentions the war in BiH, which was the dominant topic of many media and so-called analysts and even representatives of certain political parties. Today, it has disappeared from the agenda and we are again on issues related to the situation in BiH,” Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

Dodik stated that the situation in BiH should be resolved within the preparations for the elections related to the Election Law, emphasizing that the Presidency of the SNSD understood the conclusions of the Croatian National Assembly (HNS).

He said that the SNSD insists on the application of the BiH Constitution, that the SNSD will not accept any kind of sanctioning of the RS and if that happens, that it will reject the superficial conclusions made by the European Parliament.

“We will not accept that. We will continue to insist on the BiH Constitution. We believe that there is no reason for the EU Council to discuss this,” Dodik told.

Namely, he pointed out that if the EU imposes sanctions on the RS, then the RS will no longer give its consent for any development project in the Federation of BiH (FBiH).

“If they want to stop the whole of BiH, then it is at their disposal,” he added.
