The President of the RS, Milorad Dodik, said that if the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina tries to react to January 9 – the celebration of the unconstitutional day of this entity, their activities on the territory of the RS will be prohibited.

After the recent threats by High Representative Christian Schmidt in the case of commemorating January 9, Dodik told “Politika” that everything is being done peacefully regarding the day, as he stated, when the Republika Srpska was born.

“He boasted the other day that the police of the RS have not caught him yet, but he should know that we will follow him when there is an opportunity – he will be arrested. If the Prosecutor’s Office tries to react on January 9, we will also ban their activities in the territory of the RS”, pointed out Dodik.

Those who don’t want to come to the celebration on January 9, added Dodik, won’t want to celebrate their holidays with them either.

“Whoever comes, we are happy to reciprocate as we celebrate with Serbia, Russia, China,” Dodik concluded.

Schmidt said earlier that the celebration of January 9 as the Day of the RS “is a clear and direct failure to implement the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the decisions of the High Representative”, and added that “disobeying the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina constitutes a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina “.
