Dodik in Israel: “We will talk to everyone except the rotten EU”

The leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, said today that Republika Srpska (RS) will beware of “European bureaucrats” who, as he assessed, “want to impose impossible circumstances on it”. Commenting on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s negotiations with the European Union (EU), he asked: “Does it exist, I don’t know that it exists?”

He added that the RS will talk with “America, Russia, China, Israel…”, and not with the “rotten EU”, which, as he said, “does not have the value it had before”.

“Who should we negotiate with, with (European Commissioner for Enlargement) Marta Kos, the liberals who have ruined Europe and European values, and now they are telling us that we need something to negotiate, to give up all our sovereignty?” Dodik told reporters in Tel Aviv, where he is visiting, RS Radio-television (RTRS) reported.

His meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planned for today, with whom, as he previously announced, he will discuss further strengthening of relations and finalization of agreements on specific economic projects, as well as improving cooperation in culture and science, especially university cooperation.

Dodik called the head of the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luigi Soreca, “a liar who says that the rule of law is when an unnamed foreigner sets regulations, and they declare it a law” and asked: “How can this be Europe?” He also said that “it is known that Muslim armed cells are being formed all over Europe”, and then he added:

“What does that do for us? We will protect ourselves from it as much as we can. We don’t want the return of their migrants like Europe, which screwed up.” “What kind of European values? Does Europe have freedom of movement? We are not interested in their money,” Dodik said, adding that the EU is “asking RS to surrender.”

“They want us to say that there is no RS – you won’t hear that from us, if you’re offering I don’t even know how much of your dirty money! They need to solve the whining from Sarajevo… They (the EU) can make fun of us, but they’ve been knocked on the door by problems they can’t solve, what are we looking for?” said the SNSD leader.
