Dodik supported the Adoption of the Law on Excise Duties

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik gave his support to the adoption of the Law on Excise Duties, which was established by the Board of Directors of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH. He is convinced that the RS could additionally invest in its infrastructure, healthcare, and agriculture through the application of this law.

During the conversation with the Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH, Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, which took place in Banja Luka, he said that the adoption of this legal solution is necessary, despite the fact that there was no majority in the Parliament of BiH for it so far.

Dodik reminded the Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH that the RS has successfully implemented all the obligations from the so-called Reform Agenda, as well as all the obligations from the arrangement with the IMF, as announced from the Office of the President of the RS.

Unfortunately, according to him, “the RS is a hostage of failure to fulfill these obligations by other levels of government,” and he expressed his disapproval with the “direct damage that the RS suffers,” as said in the statement.
