Dodik: The Americans are ruining the Deal, they are responsible for the Standstill on the EU Path

SNSD party leader Milorad Dodik said that there is no coalition at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but only a partnership, and said that the US administration and US Ambassador Michael Murphy should not deal with the issues of BiH’s integration into the EU, as well as the high representative, because they they, as he stated, “are the main culprits for the failure of all the agreements that were previously agreed upon with the leaders of the Troika parties”.

“It is the old manner of the Americans. We had an agreement on the law on preventing conflicts of interest and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, until the ambassador got involved in it and said where the headquarters should be, which is unusual for an ambassador. We are destined to be guilty, but this is absolutely excessive interference by Murphy in the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Dodik at a press conference in Banja Luka after the SNSD Presidency session.

He said that US Ambassador Murphy exerted influence on the leaders of the Troika parties, and in that way he is disrupting the agreement from Laktaši and Sarajevo.

“People from the Troika were euphoric for two days after the Laktaši agreement, only to stop everything after the intervention of the American ambassador,” said Dodik.

He said that he asked the leaders of the Troika if they had agreed on everything, which they confirmed, but that they later withdrew their agreement on the agreed issues.

“And now Dodik is guilty. That means nothing to me. It is important for me not to miss the opportunity to strengthen the Republika Srpska,” Dodik pointed out.

It is not possible, he said, to pass a law on the conflict of interests at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for it to also treat the Republika Srpska, because this would lose the legislative competence of the Republika Srpska, which, as he says, is exclusively the competence of the RS.

“We will pass that law and we have that law. It is regulated in accordance with European practices. Here they want to expand the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the jurisdiction of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina falls on those who violate the law on conflict of interest. Then they will to bring people from Republika Srpska and municipalities to Sarajevo for trial. That is their goal,” said Dodik.

He added that with this intention, the “unconstitutional position of the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, which are the expert and inquisitorial category,” is being strengthened.

Dodik believes that through the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council, no judge and prosecutor can be elected without prior approval from the American Embassy.

“They answer to them, not to our public. It is a subtle game. We are ready to vote for the law on conflict of interest if it refers to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, stated Dodik and pointed out that this had been previously agreed with the Troika, but that after the reaction of the Americans, that question was again problematized.

Republika Srpska regularly services all budget obligations

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said today in Banja Luka that there are no visible processes that could threaten the institutional and thus the political stability of Republika Srpska.

Dodik pointed out that Republika Srpska regularly services all budget obligations.

“There will be no stoppage. The January pension was paid increased by 10 percent, which draws additional funds of 170 million BAM on an annual level. Likewise, the introduction of the veteran’s allowance for all categories of veterans draws an additional 150 million BAM annually,” said Dodik on press conference after the SNSD Presidency session.

He pointed out that Republika Srpska is the least indebted in the region, Srna news agency writes.
