Important Issues on the Agenda at Today’s Council of Ministers of BiH Sessio

The session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the 98th in the current mandate, has been announced for today in Sarajevo.

A very extensive agenda has been proposed, and one of the topics is the Information on the status of the Reform Agenda of BiH, obligations under the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, and the next institutional steps of BiH.

Also proposed are the Draft Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Labor in the Institutions of BiH, as well as a decision on the temporary suspension and temporary reduction of customs rates on the import of certain goods until December 31st, 2026, and a new text of the decision on the formation of a working group for the drafting of a strategy to improve public financial management in the institutions of BiH for the period 2026-2030.

Among the proposed items on the agenda are a decision on the appointment of members of the Coordination Board for the Union action programme in the field of health – the EU4Health Programme, as well as an amendment to the Decision on the salary supplement for performing complex IT-application tasks for employees of the Audit Office of the Institutions of BiH.

Decisions on the adoption of the work plan of the Agency for Statistics of BiH for 2026 and on the amount of the monetary compensation for the work of members of the Council for Statistics of BiH have also been announced.

The Proposal for a Decision on amendments and supplements to the List of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, plants from which narcotic drugs can be obtained, and precursors is also on the announced agenda, among numerous other topics.

According to the official announcement, before the members of the Council of Ministers, there will also be a proposal for a decision on the reallocation of funds from the budget of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH to the budget of the Return Fund of BiH.

An amendment to the Decision on approving funds from the current reserve of the state budget for the purpose of procuring specialized equipment for fire seasons is also one of the many other proposed agenda items.

The start of the session is scheduled for 1 p.m.
