This weekend, the Winter on Trebević event will be held for the first time, gathering visitors at the Brus site, organized by the Municipality of Istočni Stari Grad and the Istočni Stari Grad Tourist and Cultural Center. The goal of the event is to improve the tourist offer of Trebević and attract as many domestic and foreign guests as possible.

Organizers say that visitors can expect a festive atmosphere, the natural beauty of the mountain and a variety of content adapted to all generations. The program is designed as a two-day event, with the first day dedicated to getting to know Trebević and the content that has been developed on this mountain in the past, while the second day is intended for the youngest. Director of the Istočni Stari Grad Tourist and Cultural Center Branka Petronić emphasizes that they tried to offer a diverse program so that every visitor could find something for themselves.

The event also featured local products and handicrafts by local exhibitors. As the participants point out, their goal is to promote local production and healthy products, but also to connect the local community through such events. Visitors had the opportunity to see and buy products created within the framework of creative workshops and small local initiatives.

The Municipality of East Stari Grad emphasizes that the event is being implemented in good cooperation with other municipalities and the Sarajevo Canton. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Sarajevo, Samir Avdić, who emphasized the importance of joint projects for the development of tourism and strengthening cooperation between local communities. According to him, events like this contribute to the development of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo and the creation of an environment that brings long-term benefits to the entire area.

The Mayor of the Municipality of East Stari Grad, Bojo Gašanović, said that the goal is to make Trebević a recognizable and safe place for visitors, a space that connects different generations and offers content throughout the year. He emphasized that efforts are being made to make the mountain a place of meeting, relaxation and positive energy.

The second day of the event will be specially adapted for children, with organized workshops, a theater performance and the distribution of gifts for the youngest visitors. The organizers say that Winter on Trebević has the ambition to grow into a traditional event that will gather an increasing number of visitors every year and further enrich the tourist offer of this region, BHRT writes.
