Dodik: The Trial in the Court of BiH should not have happened

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said today that the trial against him at the Court of BiH should not have happened.

“If there were law and justice, the trial should not have happened. The only thing that should have happened was for the Court of BiH not to confirm the indictment sent by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH,” Dodik said in an interview with media representatives.

Dodik stressed that he would not be surprised if various threats and pressures were now being put on the scene in Sarajevo against Judge Sena Uzunović to issue a guilty verdict.

He stressed that Republika Srpska has a ready response if there is a guilty verdict.

“That could mean that our personnel withdraw from institutions, police and other agencies at the BiH level. After that, their existence would be in Republika Srpska,” Dodik said.

He noted that Republika Srpska stands for the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement, unlike foreigners and politicians from Sarajevo, and reiterated that this is a political process.

Dodik stated that he had information that former US Ambassador Michael Murphy had tried to have EUFOR arrest him on December 25 last year.

“They tried something like that. That was not good, and for Bosniaks it would be best if the foreigners left Bosnia and Herzegovina and a domestic agreement was reached,” Dodik said, Srna writes.
