In light of the current events in the Middle East, and the possible danger for the region and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the President of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, commented on the security situation, stating that this entity is stable in that sense.
“On this day and all these previous days, and I believe, also in the immediate future, RS remains stable and controls its security and can manage, God forbid, some crisis situation in this regard”, Dodik said yesterday and stated that some make decisions autonomously about raising the security level, but, he says, that is their problem.
He explained that “it is not unknown that there are various cells in BiH“, that is, what are called “sleepers”.
“If you remember, about 10 years ago, the Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH (OSA), said that at that time, to register 3.500 thousand ‘sleepers’ who are waiting for a sign to do something. We have significant data on this, we exchange it with important agencies, in the region, Europe, and the world, and we think that each of those who have potential terrorist capacity is under some kind of control and that, very easily, we can recognize, even to influence their intentions to do something”, told Dodik and added that the government of this entity is trying to make RS stable: “But what we see is that there is a kind of danger for Europe. In Sweden, the army is being used to maintain order, new border crossings are being set up, where they were previously abolished, all this indicates that the world is in serious disarray.”
He also states that a meeting was held yesterday with important people from the security segment, in terms of regular activities, without panic, and that the level of preparedness of domestic structures, which are fighting against various security challenges, is increasing.
Earlier, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) Ramo Isak also made a statement, and harshly criticized the Italian services for allegations of “terrorist cells”.
Elmedin Konakovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, denied these allegations, N1 reports.
