The President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik sent a message to the citizens that it is necessary that the official opening of the restored Ferhadija mosque goes smoothly and peacefully, noting that all officials are welcomed, including the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu.
Dodik, after he visited the Mufti of Banja Luka Osman ef. Kozlic, visited the Ferhadija mosque and expressed his satisfaction that this important religious and cultural facility is completed and that the official opening will be marked on the 7th of May.
Emphasizing the importance of Ferhadija, as important cultural monument, he said that Banja Luka and RS are interested that the opening day pass in the best way possible.
“All the measures in order for the ceremony to go smoothly, in safety and every other way, are undertaken” said the entity’s president, reminding that the entity government helped the restoration of Ferhadija with financial resources and thus, according to him, showed affection for facilities with religious and cultural value.
Mufti of Banja Luka, Osman ef. Kozlic, thanked the entity’s president for his visit to Ferhadija. All preparations for the opening ceremony of this religious facility are going according to plans, and the Ministry of Interior of RS, as the holder of the security segment of the event, is doing a good job.
“We hope that everything will go as planned,” said Mufti Kozlic.
He also thanked Dodik for the gift – carpets that he brought to Ferhadija.
