The air pollution index in Sarajevo is 198, which ranks it among the four most polluted cities in the world, as shown in data from yesterday morning. The capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is in the “red zone”, which means that the air is assessed as unhealthy.
Accordingly, the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Public Health Institute recommends suspending stress and recreational activities, especially in the morning and evening. If you plan to stay outside, it is recommended to wear a face mask. Also, staying in the surrounding mountains is advised. For pregnant women, the elderly, and children, as well as people with respiratory and heart problems, it is recommended to stay at home.
