Dodik: We don’t want the Russians or the Americans to interfere

Milorad Dodik, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Serbian people, commented on the interview of the United States Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Michael Murphy, in which he said that they will not leave Bosnia and Herzegovina to Russia and that the decision-making on joining NATO is exclusively for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dodik pointed out that he could not say how glad he is that the American ambassador treats BiH too patronizingly, considering that some others here do the same.

“We do not want Russians or Americans to interfere in our decisions and lives. We want to sovereignly decide on all issues relevant to our lives. The least we want is for conflicts from some other parts of the world to be transferred to BiH under the pretext of concern for its future “, said Dodik.

In an interview with Radio Free Europe, the American ambassador said that Russia will not be the one to decide on the accession of BiH to the European Union and NATO, but only BiH. Dodik interpreted this as the fact that BiH has not yet made a decision on moving towards NATO.

“He clearly said that BiH will decide on moving towards NATO, which denies all those who persistently tell the lie that such a decision has already been made,” said Dodik.

However, such a statement by Murphy does not deny that some decisions within BiH have already been made, that is, that the National Annual Program has been sent to NATO.

“Everyone who insists that the issue is over has unlimited trust in the American Embassy, and I am therefore glad that the answer came from that embassy,” emphasized Dodik when asked to comment on Murphy’s statement.

He said that BiH has a future if it functions according to the Constitution, and that no interviews or statements by foreign diplomats will help if there is no support for the constitutional arrangement of BiH, Klix.ba writes.
