dogs_trustDogs Trust B&H (DTBH) successfully completed a campaign on Saturday, 12 April of the sterilization and microchipping of dogs in Canton Sarajevo and East Sarajevo, achieving great results with a preliminary number of 837 dogs.

Dog owners have proven that they are aware of the importance of sterilizing their dogs and that in B&H the understanding of the concept of responsible ownership is definitely increasing, which certainly has a very positive effect on solving the problem of stray dogs.

As part of the campaign, DTBH in Sarajevo organized an entertainment and educational event that was attended by thousands of citizens: owners of dogs had the chance to receive answers from experts-veterinarians, and several hundred children enjoyed in interactive workshops, where they learned about dogs and how to be safe in an environment surrounded by dogs.

This is the third sterilization campaign implemented by DTBH since 2012, of which the last two were mostly street dogs, and which resulted all together in the sterilization of around 5200 dogs.
