kornisoniIn 2013, around 10.000 tons of gherkins of high quality were produced in B&H, and a large number was placed on the EU market through the company Brams d.o.o. Sarajevo. Brams began with the encouragement of production and purchase of gherkins in 2010. To date, the company has bought products from over 600 independent local manufacturers that produce high quality gherkins. In the area of municipality Živinice, Brams has its own buying centers with refrigerators that meet all the necessary EU standards. Calibrated and chilled gherkins continue to be transported.

‘’Gherkins has a great export potential of B&H, and entire purchases of gherkins and placement on the EU market is guaranteed this year. From the markets of Austria, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, England, and the Netherlands, we receive feedback that these are very high-quality gherkins’’, said Director of Purchasing in Brams Admir Smailagić.

In the next few years, the goal of Brams Company is to ensure the production and placement of a minimum of 5.000 tons of gherkins, primarily for the EU market.

In 2014, Brams Company will give an extra boost to domestic farmers through the purchase of one hundred percent assured high-quality gherkins, and placement on the EU market.

Brams d.o.o. Sarajevo is the only local member of the Adriatic Group Wien, which also includes Brajlović GmbH Austija and the Company Natura from Stuttgart.
