Mogherini HahnIn a joint statement, High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security of the European Union Federica Mogherini and Commissioner for EU Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn assessed that the news on agreement between BiH leaders is certainly welcome.

“With such news, domestic leaders on all levels additionally confirmed their commitment to the European path of the country, in accordance with the expectations of its citizens,” Mogherini and Hahn stated.

Mogherini and Hahn stated that the coordination mechanism is aimed at improving coordination and implementation of policies in the country, including financial help from the EU, and at ensuring better interaction with the European Union.

“The decision to continue with the IMF program will ensure key support for the implementation of the Reform Agenda as the comprehensive set of socio-economic reforms and reforms in the field of rule of law and public administration. A meaningful implementation of the Reform Agenda and the coordination mechanism in relation to the issues that are pertinent to the EU, together with the adjustment of the Stabilization and Association Agreement that has been initialed recently, are crucial for progress in accession of the country to the European Union,” Mogherini and Hahn stated.
