With the termination of process of accreditation and external evaluation and with obtaining the decision on accreditation, the gates of European education system were opened for the University of Tuzla.
“With this solution, we obtained an additional obligation, which is primarily the preservation of the achieved level, as well as the overall improvement of work. Our task is to offer better and higher quality conditions for studying and acquiring new knowledge to the present and future generations,” said Prof. Dr. Enver Halilović, Rector of the University of Tuzla.
By obtaining the resolution of accreditation, the University of Tuzla was placed to the world list of accredited higher education institutions.
“This act increases the competitiveness of our academic community. We become an equal member in participating in any international project,” said Bego Gutić, the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton.
Commission of renowned national and international experts for the evaluation and revision of the quality of higher education institutions had a great task; to examine the operation and functioning of the University by precisely defined criteria established by the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance, which are in accordance with the standards and the criteria for assessment of the universities in the EU countries.
External evaluation and accreditation have a double meaning. For students, this means that they will be able to continue their studies anywhere and that their degrees will be accepted by employers all over Europe. For teachers, it means to have a confirmation of working at the university which has an international reputation and status.
