bursacThe journalist and columnist of the website “Buka”, Dragan Bursać received yesterday in Banja Luka the journalism award “Srđan Aleksić” for his continuous reporting on marginalized groups in the society.

Bursać said that this award is the most important journalism award in B&H.

“I wasn’t even aware what happened to me, but in a positive way. This award means something very special to me, it commits me.” – pointed out Bursać.

Dragana Dardić from the Helsinki Parliament of the citizens of Banja Luka reminded everyone present that the NGO “Mreža za izgradnju mira B&H” (Network for building peace) organizes since last year the assignment of the journalism award “Srđan Aleksić” for continuous reporting on marginalized and vulnerable groups of the society.

She stated that there were nine quality propositions of the civic organizations this year at the competition.

The representative of the U.S. Agency for international development Mark Da Silva stated that this agency is proud to support and acknowledge the journalism award “Srđan Aleksić” because it should promote honesty, truth and openness – preconditions for peace building.

The representatives of the Helsinki Parliament of the citizens of BL, the authorities and the media attended the ceremony of assignment of this award as well as the promotion of the campaign of the RS against hate speech on the internet.
