Based on the proposal of the expert body for coordination, and according to the plan of intervention measures in case of excessive pollution in CS, the Operational Headquarters of the Government of CS abolished the episodes “warning” and “preparedness” for the Canton Sarajevo.
Decrease in the value of solid particles in the air – PM10 has been recorded through automatic stations for monitoring of the air quality, and the reason for making this decision was the announcement of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute in CS that unstable weather situation will occur in Sarajevo valley within the next three days, with the possibility of precipitation and weak wind, which caused a sudden decrease in the value of the specified polluting substances.
This is the reason why the Operational Headquarters of the Government of CS ordered the abolition of all the measures that have been undertaken in the recent days by declaration of above mentioned episodes on the 3rd and the 17th of December this year.
Expert body for the coordination and monitoring will continue to monitor the weather conditions and the concentration of polluting substances in the air and, according to development of the situation, will give recommendations for further steps to the Operational Headquarters of the Government of CS.
