Academician Esad Durakovic said that the state is close to the abyss, but that he hopes that we will stop on time.
“If that doesn’t happen, then we know what happens. When someone or something abysses then it is destroyed, catastrophic. These days we have intensive activities of both the international community and domestic political entities and I hope it will bring some positive results. If not, then we will fall into the abyss. What worries me is the fact that the international actors that are particularly active do not have an adequate responsethese days. Either they do not understand what it is about or they do not manage, they do not react in a time. Things almost came at an all time high. “
Regarding the Declaration adopted by the SNSD on Thursday, he told that they have gone far in creating the sovereignty of the entities, acquiring state attributes.
I am not sure that the opposition in Republika Srpska (RS) is sincere
Durakovic noted that the eventual secession means leavingDayton and then everything is turned upside down.
“Then everything has to be revised, re-examined, etc. There is this danger. However, to be honest, I am not sure that the opposition in RS is honest about it. I think they let Dodik, who is arrogant politically and diplomatically, rude, even vulgar, and they are just watching from the sidelines what will happen. “
“Vucic is on one side of Dodik’s, and on Covic’s policy on the other side, which is also very negative for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), together with the HDZ’s political leadership in Croatia. If the international community exerts appropriate pressure provided they leave BiH alone, Dodik and Covic would float down in a few days. The problem is in the Republic of Croatia and Serbia, that is, in their official policies.”
I am most afraid of false defenders of BiH
Further, Durakovic stated that Croatia has the same goals as Serbia and that they are interested in a part of the territory of BiH.
He pointed out that Christian Schmidt is a painful question, and that he disappointed him.
“I remain hopeful that he might start acting. He spoke very well in Parliament, but it is verbalization, not to say a hollow story. We need action. If the entire state is blocked, if secession is threatened, then he should be prevented until he goes any further with this. Mr. Schmidt did nothing specific, and I think he had to take the very serious measures at his disposal before it was too late, because Dodik’s next step would be more dangerous.”
