BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović spoke by phone with Derek Chollet, Special Adviser to the US Secretary of State on the current crisis and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its security implications.

The support of the United States of America for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the reform progress that has been achieved in the past 26 years through the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, was confirmed.

The officials pointed out that the collapse of the constitutional order and the Dayton Agreement undertaken by the institutions of the RS entities is unacceptable.

It was emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs a de-escalation of the situation, based on strict respect for the constitutional and institutional order, and a return to the reform path, through dialogue in state institutions, the BiH Presidency said in a press release.
