Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Sefik Dzaferovic said that the current crisis is the most dangerous that BiH has been experiencing since the Dayton Agreement.
According to him, there are open threats and some concrete steps are already being taken to destroy the institutions of BiH, thus severely violating the sovereignty of BiH and openly threatening the territorial integrity of BiH.
“I think that the institutions of BiH will provide an answer to all these challenges, that they will protect the sovereignty of BiH and territorial integrity. By that, I also think of the international community, because it is in a way the institution of BiH, they are an integral part of the Dayton Agreement and they have their obligations here, both in terms of the civilian and military aspects of the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement, “Dzaferovic stated.
He believes that it will not be allowed to reduce the capacity of BiH institutions, “which we have in action these days”.
“We all know that this is just one step towards the ultimate goal of retrograde forces, and that is the division of BiH. They will never succeed in that. They attacked BiH in much more difficult circumstances and failed in their intentions. Today’s people need to learn something from history. A lesson from history is that whoever attacked BiH, its sovereignty and integrity ended up in The Hague and in the dustbin of history. That’s how the current attackers will end,” Dzaferovic told.
According to him, what we see from Milorad Dodik in recent days is unreasonable, it leads us to destabilization of the situation in BiH, to overthrowing the Dayton Agreement.
“If he provokes a situation that destabilizes the situation in BiH and that undermines the Dayton Peace Agreement, then he must know that he and those who support him, will suffer the greatest damage and that the entity he claims to represent will suffer damage. If there is no Dayton, BiH survives, it existed before Dayton, only what was created in Dayton disappears, and those are the entities, so he needs to think about that, ” concluded the member of the BiH Presidency.
