Džeko, Spahić, Begović, Ćatić will play for children

UNICEF and BIH Football Federation are organising a charity event on the occasion of Džeko’s 27th birthday which is this Sunday.

The match will be played in Mojmilo on 18 March on the day of gathering BiH football players before the match with Greece.

Around 1000 tickets will be given to children of Special Olympics, of youth football clubs and football schools.

Famous BiH sportsmen will participate in this charity eventy, among them Džeko, Begović, Spahić, Medunjanin, boxer Ćatić, etc.

UNICEF and BIH Football Federation signed a contract of understanding on today’s press conference.

President of BIH Football Federation (BHFF) Elvedin Begić said that BHFF is also cooperating with UEFA to build mini-football field for children with disabilities, and added that the works on that project will start in spring.

Journalist of Oslobodjenje Jasmin Ligata who spoke in the name of Edin Džeko added that the entire event was Džeko’s idea. Begić noted that 1000 boys and girls will socialize with famous BIH athletes and at 3 p.m. when the event starts, 9 to 10 BiH football players will play against 27 boys and girls from the Special Olympics

The match will be played on 18 March at 3 p.m. in sports hall Ramiz Saličin in Mojmilo.
