Views of the outside of the EBRD's Headquarters building in London. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is expected to ensure from 500-600 billion Euros in B&H in the next three to four years, or around 100-200 billion Euros annually, announced yesterday the Director of the Representative Office of EBRD to B&H Libor Krkoška.

He said to journalists after the EBRD presentation of its report on the transition during last year, that strategies of this bank have been adopted so that the emphasis would be placed on those areas that are export oriented, especially where innovations were presented.

He said that the area of the Western Balkans is very interesting for EBRD, in which this bank wants to have more investments.

He said that last year the EBRD invested around 200 million Euros in 18 different projects, of which three-fourths of these investments went to the private sector and which created employment for many people, especially in infrastructure projects.

He also noted that last year B&H was successful regarding the implementation of these investments, and added that around 14 percent of this amount has not yet been implemented.
