husein kavazovic“Bosnia and Herzegovina is our country, we need to take care of it. No one will solve our problems except us.” – said the Grand Mufti of the Islamic community of B&H Husein Kavazović in his greeting on occasion of the tomorrow’s Eid al-Adha. – by Anadolu Agency.

As he said, today is the 9th Dju al-Hijjah, the day of Arafah, when all Muslim pilgrims around the world end their pilgrimage called Hajj.

“They arrived to the valley of Mecca to renew their vow to obey Allah, by placing their hand on the Black stone of the Kaaba. Tomorrow we celebrate Eid al-Adha. We will pray and sacrifice a qurban which represents our renewed vow to God.” – said Kavazović.

He sent a message to all believers to remember the sacrifice of all God’s messengers and good people, ancestors from the past.

“No achievement will appear over the night. Sacrifice and effort are the foundation of every free individual and people. Each one of us needs to show responsibility for the things he has been trusted with. Fill your obligations and show solidarity.” – said Kavazović.

He also added that these holy days should be marked with “our concern for the neighbours with whom we share our environment.”

“Their happiness should be our happiness, their pain and sorrow should be a sign to us to help them. Bosnia is our country, we should take care of it. No one will solve our problems except us. We saw that many times.” – said Kavazović.

He invited all Muslims, Orthodox, Catholics and Jews to work together on raising families and children and preserving the community.

“To all of you in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sandžak, in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and abroad I wish happy and joyful days of Eid al-Adha. Let’s spend them with our families, relatives, friends and neighbours. Let the joy of Eid al-Adha fill our hearts and enter our homes. Bajram šerif mubarek olsun” – said the Grand Mufti Kavazović.
