Eight Arrested in East Sarajevo for Drugs and Weapons Possession

Members of the East Sarajevo Police Department have arrested eight people linked to the production and trafficking of drugs, as well as weapons or explosives.

As part of the operational operation “Prolom-dva”, searches are underway at 13 locations in the area of ​​East Novo Sarajevo, East Ilidža, Trnovo, Banja Luka, Laktaši and the area of ​​the Sarajevo Canton, the East Sarajevo Police Department announced.

The operation is being conducted in cooperation with the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Republika Srpska, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the MUP of Republika Srpska and Europol, and under the supervision of the East Sarajevo District Public Prosecutor’s Office.
