Eight People were detained on Suspicion of being connected to the Attack on the Police in Bosanska Krupa

During the night, in the area of ​​Bihać and Bosanska Krupa, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton (MUP USK) detained eight persons suspected of the criminal offense of terrorism.

The arrests are related to an attack in which a boy of less than 15 years of age participated, who is suspected of murdering and wounding police officers in Bosanska Krupa.

The action started last night and lasted until late at night, during which the movable and immovable property of the detainees were searched. During the search, the police found a small amount of weapons, money, laptops, mobile phones, external hard drives, USBs and a large number of pieces of paper written in Arabic letters. The main goal of this operation was to investigate the connection of the detained persons with terrorist acts, including attacks on police officers.

Members of the Unit for Specialist Support and the Criminal Police Sector of the MUP of the USK, along with officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), participated in the action. One person, K.H., was arrested in Bihać, while the others (Š.H., M.H., D.M., B.M., M.Dž., K.H. and N.R.) were detained in the area of ​​Bosanska Krupa.

The decision on further prosecution of the suspects will be made during the day.
