Eighty-one-year-old Melka Vojic was released from Bihac hospital with a standing ovation from doctors and health care workers.  Melka won the coronavirus and she returned home as a winner in the fight against a virus that has paralyzed and threatened all of humanity, Avaz reports.

Vojic was hospitalized with pneumonia and tested positive for COVID-19. Grandmother Melka has five children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

“I am from Bihac, it is hard for virus to mess up with me,” says grandmother Melka, pointing out that she’s feeling good now.

Vojic is one of the oldest persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina to beat COVID-19, her success is even greater when we know that out of 28 deaths, 19 are d patients over the age of 65. We wish grandmother Melka many more years to live with her loved ones.
