The price of electricity in the Republika Srpska is now 7.9 percent more expensive for households, on average, while businesses will pay 15 percent more for electricity.

As a reminder, in mid-December last year, the Energy Regulatory Commission accepted the request of the “Elektroprivreda RS” to increase the price of electricity for households.

According to the regulator, the price of electricity has increased from 5 to 8.5 BAM, depending on consumption.

The Prime Minister of the entity government, Radovan Višković, stated that for consumption of “some 200 to 1,000 kw/h, the bill for a household will be increased from 2.5 to 10 BAM per month”.

The price of electricity for households in the RS was last increased on January 1, 2022.

The price of electricity for businesses is agreed upon through direct negotiations between the management of the ERS and businesses, i.e. the price of electricity for businesses is not determined by the regulator, Fena writes.
