General Manager of Elektroprivreda BiH (EPBiH) Bajazit Jasarevic and Executive Director for Capital Investments Senad Salkic signed the Agreement on design, delivery of equipment, construction works, assembly, testing and commissioning of the 15 wind turbines of the “Podvelezje” wind farm.

The meeting took place in Sarajevo on Wednesday, and the agreement was signed with representatives of the Siemens Gamesa Consortium (Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Ltd. Croatia and Siemens Wind Power A/S Denmark ), with the total installed capacity of 48 MW.

The agreement was signed for five-year-long maintenance of wind turbines (LTSA) after the commissioning of the wind farm.

On behalf of the consortium of Siemens Gamesa the agreement was signed by Viktor Ivanov Garbev, CEO of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Ltd.Croatia, which is the leader of the Consortium and Mario Marčan, a member of the Management Board.

The deadline for the implementation of the first agreement is 21.5 months, while the deadline for the implementation of the LTSA agreement is five years from the moment of commissioning of the wind farm.

The value of both agreements is about 69 million euros, including the cost of providing securities for the return of credit funds (securing ECA guarantees).

For this project, Elektroprivreda BiH signed a concession agreement with the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton for a period of 30 years.
