Embassy of Kuwait Donated About 3.000 Books

education-booksEmbassy of Kuwait in B&H donated 3.000 books to all the libraries in B&H in Bosnian, Arabic and English languages and 725 magazines in Arabic language as part of the initiative for the enrichment of the libraries.

1.500 copies of the book “U dubinama poetskih mora Suad Al-Sabah” (In the depths of poetry of Suad Al-Sabah) are donated to all the public libraries in B&H during the first phase of the project. 

The translation project of the selected poetry of the poet from Kuwaiti dr. Souad Al-Sabah in Bosnian language has started in the beginning of 2011. The aim of translating 50 poems of dr. Souad Al Sabah is the realization of a better cultural cooperation and creation of links between Kuwaiti and B&H literature, and to introduce Kuwaiti literature to B&H readers.

Lectures from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, Department of the Oriental Philology were included in the translation project and students will have the opportunity to become familiar with the contemporary Kuwaiti poetry.

In addition to books of poetry of  dr. Suad Al-Sabah, to libraries of Sarajevo were donated books from various fields and magazines in Arabic language, and this initiative aims to contribute to the strengthening of cultural ties between B&H and the State of Kuwait.
