The Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina donated four X-ray machines to health institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These are mobile digital X-ray devices, intended for the General Hospital “Prim. Ph.D. Abdulah Nakaš” Sarajevo, University Clinical Hospital Mostar, Jajce General Hospital and Tomislavgrad Health Center.
The FBiH Minister of Health Nediljko Rimac pointed out that it is particularly important that these modern medical devices, in addition to being of high quality, are transportable, which facilitates and increases the possibility of their use in practice.
“I am convinced that these mobile digital devices will greatly facilitate work and contribute to the quality of health services that these institutions provide to patients,” said Rimac.
The official handing over of the device was also attended by the deputy head of the mission, Deborah Mennuti, who pointed out that she was pleased to be able to help the health system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this way.
Major Drew Shepler, head of the Office of Defense Cooperation, and his deputy, Captain Aaron Thomas, also attended the handover.
The value of the donated devices is USD 615,000, excluding VAT, stated the FBiH Ministry of Health.
