The Director of the Genocide Research Institute of Canada, Emir Ramić, has announced that he and his family are once again the target of serious threats, which he claims are directed at him and the work of the Institute. Ramić states that he has informed the relevant authorities about everything and that this is, as he says, a very serious case.
In his announcement, Ramić emphasized that he is not afraid of threats: “Of course I am not afraid of any threats. I work in the name of Allah and I only fear Him. He also emphasized that the Institute continues its work despite the pressures and attacks.
He claims that behind the threats are organized groups who, according to him, are working against the Institute and its work in Canada. He especially pointed out that, as he says, they are trying to ‘suffocate the voice of truth and justice’ that the Institute represents.
In the announcement, Ramić sent a message to part of the Bosniak diaspora in Canada, stating that it is important to understand the importance of the fight for truth, justice and the culture of memory, especially in the context of the war events in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He also shared the modified content of the threat message he claimed to have received: “P… to you mother and to you and your fake genocides. “To you, everything is genocide, you motherf**ker… you filthy liar. You killed 5,000 of your Muslims in Srebrenica on the orders of Alija Izetbegović, you call it genocide and blame Serbs for the crimes you yourself committed against your Muslims. Soon there will be no director, his wife and children of that Canadian fake institute that is working in vain against us Serbs. You will soon be silent.”
