Energoinvest Albania novovrijeme.baInauguration of the project 110kV Southern Albania and official marking of the completion of the project of transmission line construction was held on Friday in the south of Albania, in the city of Vlora, Energoinvest JSC stated.

Besides the representatives of contractors and implementers of the project, the company Energoinvest JSC Sarajevo, the ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, the Albanian Minister of Energy Damian Gjiknuri, the director of Elektroprenos Albania Engjell Zego, as well as the representatives of Germany in Albania and the German Development Bank KfW and numerous other invitees.

On behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the opening of Energoinvest’s successfully completed project was attended by Admir Softić, the assistant to the Minister for Natural Resources, Energetics and Environmental Protection (Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H), the non-residing Ambassador of B&H to Albania Nusret Čančar, and the honorary consul of B&H in Drač Fikret Klarić.

Energoinvest JSC Sarajevo successfully completed one of the largest post-war projects on the construction of transmission line before the deadline. By completing this line, Energoinvest implemented a project with the investor, OST Albania (Elektroprenos Albania), and thus constructed 249 kilometers of 110 kV transmission line and expanded five substations of 110 kV voltage level, which is the first time in the history of Energoinvest to implement a project of this kind in Albania.

Besides this project, Energoinvest is implementing another major project in Albania – construction of the 400 kV transmission line – which should also be successfully completed by the middle of 2015, Energoinvest stated.
